The University of Westminster (UoW)

The UoW has undertaken a major redevelopment at the School of Media, Arts and Design on its Harrow Campus to create a world-class environment for students. It has created state-of-the-art facilities, new and improved social and learning spaces, and an enhanced sense of community for students and staff. Harrow is also becoming a more sustainable site, with reduced environmental impact.

Hawkins\Brown’s design adds an impressive modern feel to a campus that had been in need of brightening up. It includes a new main reception and student courtyard area: the ‘forum’. The new building links existing structures and at the same time creates new learning spaces, project rooms and performance areas for the campus. The design allows students to better showcase their talents, and reflects the creative buzz that has always characterised the School of Media, Arts and Design.
